Hope Theater Company began back in 2012 as a backyard theater for a group of friends. Over the years as it grew and changed directors, it took on the name Lancaster Youth Productions. All shows were free of charge, and had casts of mainly children and youth. In early 2026, the group officially incorporated into a non-profit organization, transitioned from youth theater to community theater, and was renamed as Hope Theater Company.

Our mission is to use acting as a way to glorify God and entertain and inspire others. All shows are pay-what-you-will, and provide an enjoyable evening of fun for our audiences. Our motto is from 1st Peter 4:11

“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
